Vent!! People need to stop asking what would you rather???
A boy or a girl? OMG!!!! STOP! All I want is a beautiful healthy baby! I am so sick of people asking me that! 
 People drive me crazy!!!!
Oh and also everytime I say I like a particular name, The answer people give me oh that name is no good. I knew someone with that name. SO WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why we haven't told family or friends the name we chose.
Everyone will find out when the baby is born and by that point their comments and opinions will be too late to alter or affect any decision DH and I have made.

i agree with you... all i want is a healthy child.. i dont care if its a boy or girl.. i dont know why people get so caught up on that.. its a gift of life!!
and the names too piss me off.. already DH and I mentioned to some people a girls name that we love and looks we get is soooooooooooo rude.
its not their baby why do they care!!

um last i checked this was my baby - when you get PG you can let it be a surprise 
DH and i are not telling anyone names we are thinking about either... the only opinions we need are our own!!

I tell close friends info and details..I am a teacher so I have tons of people always asking stuff...I always say "I'm Good" and then say we are still deciding on names, not sure yet...I hate telling people stuff if I am not close to them do they really care? Some people can be ANNOYING, I just smile a lot

same here about our name for our baby girl! we dont care either,
i hate when people ask about what u are having, and when u say , they are like, oh, but dont u want a boy? its like HELLO, this is my 1st baby, and i wouldve been happy either way, boy or girl, as long as its healthy. why cant people see it that way!

People ask and I say I dont care. DH wants a boy and again, makes no apologies for saying so. He is who he is and thats why I love him.
As for names, we decided to keep that to ourselves. Its all we have left that is our own and there is no doubt that certain people in our lives would criticize our choices.

I am actually more annoyed and offended by people who impose their beliefs on child rearing and breast feeding. I am not easily swayed by unsolicited opinions. I am a highly educated adult woman who has spent the past 12 years taking care of children. Combine that knowledge base with what I think is an excellent maternal instinct and I think my child will fare very well in this world.

It personally disgusts us when I hear people favoring or hoping for one sex over the other.
This comes from two miscarriages and a long battle with IF. I want to smack those people in the mouth.
If you never had a problem getting PG, well then I guess ignorance is bliss.
But if you've had issues, it's truly disgusting to hear.
We're having two girls - and I can't tell you how many people have asked me "if I was OK with it" - or "my Dh would have a heart attack"
And I'm just like, considering the alternative, this is the best thing that could have happened
