VENT:Anyone not enjoy their second pregnancy experience as much as the first?
I'm very early on in my second pregnancy and it feels so different. I feel like I can barely function. I know that part of it is because I currently have a 16 monh old but I am way more uncomfortable. I'm already having trouble breathing and I don't know why (anxiety, exhaustion, etc.).
I feel more moody, depressed and unmotivated to do anything. I really don't think I was this way with my son. I was tired but this is rediculous.
Can anyone relate to make me feel better? I have a girlfriend who is 8 months pregnant with an almost two year old and I don't know how she is functioning.
Misery loves company you know.
I would like to add that I am truly happy and very lucky to be able to be pregnant............I've had a rough past.

My second pregnancy was actually a lot easier for me; no morning sickness, less weight gain, etc. Sorry your second pregnancy has been worse for you

While both of my pregnancies were relatively easy ones, my second was not as good as my first.
I was sicker & completely exhausted.
Also having to go through the 3rd trimester for the 1st time ever, I was shocked at how much pressure & shooting pains there were.

Complaining does not = not grateful.
If that were the case, we'd all be ungrateful.

My SIL had a wonderful 1st pregnancy. She was sick and tired during her 2nd one. She did not expect that.

Re: VENT:Anyone not enjoy their second pregnancy experience as much as the first?
My second preganancy had started out much worse then the first with more extreme morning sickeness, fatigue and moodiness. But after 14 weeks it improved dramatically and I would even say was easier then the first preganancy overall. Now at almost 36 weeks I find it very hard to keep up with my 2 year old and I am very tired but overall ok. I hope you feel better soon!!

Same goes for me. My DS will be 15 months next week and I am due tomorrow (Saturday) and I actually felt better this pregnancy. The beginning was a little harder because when I was tired I would nap (even at work) and this time I couldn't. He kept me going. Since you are still early on I say give yourself until you are about 14 weeks and you should feel better.

I guess this is why doctors say that every pregnancy is different - b/c they truly are. I too, had relatively easy pregnancies both times...but, I definitely remember feeling more tired and achey with #2. I think some of that is just natural.
HUGS!!! We don't think you're ungrateful. Pregnancy, while totally normal and a blessing, can be a very uncomfortable state of being for 9 months!
