Venting- Moved 1+ years ago and still....
...I have boxes everywhere.
I LOVE my DH. But if that a$$ does not get up off his a$$ and help me finish unpacking I swear his a$$ will no longer have somewhere to sit.
HOUSE full of people in 1.5 weeks. All I can say is thank G-D for 4 weekend days to grind this house into order......
How do I still have boxes?????????
And please tell me I am not the only person suffering from this.

Venting- Moved 1+ years ago and still....
You are not alone!!
We moved into our house the same time as Sandy last year. I have boxes all over. My garages are filled with boxes from end to end and side to side. My basement looks like a tornado went through it. We are having Thanksgiving this year and we are on high alert to clean the house up for the next 2 weeks.

6 years later and I still have some boxes of crap I never unpacked.. Obviously, I should toss them into the non-essential pile and bring them to the Salvation Army. LOL

Moved 2 years ago and our garage still has a good 10-15 boxes of stuff we want to keep but don't necessarily need.

We have a whole portion of our basement that is filled with boxes.... And honestly, until the remodel/construction on our kitchen is done I don't foresee it changing - and even after that I don't see it changing. There were boxes in our basement growing up, my grandparents have boxes in their basement and I don't think they have any clue what's in them!

I was going to say the same thing! I have been in my house 7 years adn there are boxes that I have never unpacked....obvioiusly nothing I need!

I had some boxes that moved with me for like 7 years, between multiple apartments and finally our house. DH and I made a rule that both of us had to unpack one box a week. I can safely say that we have unpacked all our boxes now.

Ditto this. But part of my problem is that I need more kitchen space. LOL If I had a bigger kitchen, I'd be able to unpack a few more boxes. We're hoping to renovate kitchen in the next year so some of the boxes will disappear. I hope.
