Venting..I hate my husbands job....
It makes him cranky and miserable, but it pays our bills and affords us our lifestyle. I hate seeing him miserable though. He works 14 hour days, 6 days a week. back breaking work. Ugh, I am at least grateful he has a job and i can be home with my kids.

I have the exact same siutution. I'm glad he has a job but boy is he a crank and sooo stressed out. At least this job is on LI instead of the city like his old job was.

I would start re-evaluating alternative options.
Working 6 days a week for that many hours is not something that can continue healthily for the long-term.
What would be your back up plan if something were to happen to him?

My husband just took a new job because he was working 70-80 hrs a week, sometimes for 18-20 hours per day, with one weekend day off per month, and since he was salaried there was no overtime. He was working 6-7 days per week as well. He left for a new job less than a month ago, is making more money and working half the hours and it's like having a different person coming home every night. Of course, there have been minor adjustments to my life since me and my girls really had adjusted to him leaving at 6am and not coming home until 10 or 11 pm most nights, I tell him he's cramping my style now LOL
I don't know what your hubby does, but it may be time to start looking around to see if there is anything out there that would be less of a physical and emotional toll on you all.
