i guess its just a waiting game until my 8 wk first appointment...

Re: very new preggo question!
Oh absolutely. I was nervous. I'm 10 weeks and still a little nervous just to reach the end of the first trimester. You will feel much better when you see a picture of your little one on the screen! When I was around 5 1/2 weeks, my m/s kicked in so be glad you feel good!! Things will start changing, you'll see and congratulations!!

Re: very new preggo question!
WELCOME.
I am very nervous and I have posted about it. Even if you go to the Dr. at this point, you will still be nervous. I am being monitored closely and I am happy about it but it just fuels the "what ifs." First I had to wait for results of a blood test, then another blood test to make sure my levels were rising. In the meantime, I had a sonogram but it was too early to see anything. So I had to wait at least a week for another sonogram but that one showed only the gestational sac with some small hint of some structure inside. Now I have to wait for another sonogram to be absolutely sure that a fetus is growing. And when they see that, I think it may still be too early to see a heartbeat. There just isn't anything that can absolutely put our minds at ease this early. For me, the early weeks are dragging on!!!!

Re: very new preggo question!
i was so nervous at first that i went to the bathroom every 10 minutes to check my panties for AF
i also took pregnancy tests pretty much daily for the first 2 weeks -
when morning sickness kicked in and i had that 8 week ultrasound and saw the bean's little heart beating, i felt okay for a while. now as i approach 10 weeks i am nervous again, just wanting this first tri to be OVER! i feel like i am SO close and am just praying i make it through.
so yes, i definitely feel your anxiety.

Re: very new preggo question!
I hate to be the one to tell you this - but you are going to be nervous now - for the rest of your life.
Seriously though, in the beginning I was a nervous wreck because I wanted to get to the "Safe mark - 12 weeks" - then when I got there I started to worry about all the tests we take for the baby and was worried about the results.
Now at 27 weeks I am still hearing about these poor girls who deliver at 7 months - or who have their babies early and they don't make it - so now of course I worry about making it to the end.
I think that once I get closer to the end I'll worry about the birth - and then - once I have the baby I will worry for the rest of my life about him.
Know in your heart that everything will be ok - try to take it one day at a time - and you really will be fine! Try to enjoy it - I think I was too scared in the beginning to really let myself be happy, try to be happy if you can!

Re: very new preggo question!
I was a total paranoid until 12-13 wks. Then I relaxed a little.
Now... I want to make sure I don't get into early labor.
Plenty of girls here were paranoid at the very beginning.
Totally normal!!!!!
Congrats and welcome!!!!

I was nervous from day one and at 36 weeks I still am. It's a natural feeling.

Re: very new preggo question!
OH Yes! The waiting week after week until the next sono is so difficult! The only thing that kept me from worrying was that I had no bad signs (well, until today, the bleeding, but I was assured all was OK).
DH made an interesting comment, he said "you will be worried about this baby until the day you die" He is so right!!! But at the same time, I can't kill myself w/worry every day. All will be fine and I will try my best not to worry! Hang in there!!

Re: very new preggo question!
I'm with you. I am only 2 weeks and 6 days. I'm barely pregnant. I went to the doctor anyway because I wanted confirmation and I had a bunch of questions to ask her.
Sometimes I feel like I'm not even pregnant because there are no clear signs other than no AF.
I think we're all a little freaked out.

Re: very new preggo question!
thanks so much --- im glad that i have other ladies on here that are feeling the same way --- and im guilty of so many of the same things..... going to the bathroom often to check for AF, taking a hpt each week.....
i thought i would feel better if i had had a beta done and saw the numbers increasing --- but now i realize that will have made me nervous waiting for the results as well...
thanks ladies for making me feel better!
