Very worried about my surrogate grandparents: UPDATE! We found them
My grandparents best friends who are like my surrogate grandparents are an older elderly couple who live alone in a 2 family house in Brooklyn. He is almost deaf. They have no children.
So I know she wasn't feeling well and her doctor told her to come back on Tuesday. A friend of the family was there on Friday, and no one has heard from them since. They are not picking up the phone.
I called all the hospitals in Brooklyn and there is no record of them. The friend of the family called their doctor and he didn't check her into a hospital. I even called 311 to see if there was a way I could check if an ambulance was called to their house.
I am very worried. The friend of the family is going to their house again to see if their tenant is there and can let him into the apartment. But I am very concerned.
ETA: They were robbed a few months ago while they were home. A part of me is so scared that something like this happened again.
UPDATE: She is in the hospital. I tracked down their neice (thankfully I remembered where she works and my mom knew her name). Her husband is a wreck. he doesn't even know what to eat. The wife does everything for them. They don't know what is wrong, but at least I know where they are. Thank you for all your good wishes.

I pray everything is OK.
This happened when my grandmother lived alone in Queens.
We kept calling her and calling her. No answer. My parents freaked out. Finally had a neighbor go in and check on her.
She answered the door. She said to the neighbor "Yeah, Im fine...why"...OK long story short, my grandmother is very anal about cleaning. Everything has to be spotless. She was washing her phone (wiping it down) and hit the ringer to OFF!
My parents taped the ringer to ON next time they went in.
Maybe something like that happened.
I do all is OK.

Glad they were found, but I'm sorry she's in the hospital and he's so distraught.
Why didn't the hospital have a record of her when you called earlier??
I hope she's ok and can go home soon!!
