If you use Viacord to store the stem cells at the time of your baby's birth, would you please be kind enough to share how much you pay for these services? And if you use another company, please share which company and how much. If you don't feel comfortable posting this information, would you please FM me. My husband and I are definitely doing this but we know the prices they give you can be negotiable and we want to get an idea as to how much others have paid. Thanks so much.

Re: Viacord

I'm pretty sure we paid $1500 initally and we pay $125 a year for storage. That fee is usually collected on the childs bday.

I just signed up today with Viacord and it is $1725.00 and 125.00 annually for storage. They have some payment plans as well. We are paying 164.00 per month for 12 months.

Re: Viacord

I just did this in early Sept. I think it was $2400 (for twins) and $125 annually for storage. I used Viacord but I had looked into CBS. WHen I delivered, they only had the Viacord kits so if you decide to go with one over the other, make sure you have the kit in your overnight bag to be sure!

Re: Viacord

Heres the pricing link from viacords website.

Seems to be a little if not a lot more then anyone here has mentioned. The one time set uo fee is about $2000 and then the yearly storage fees vary.

Re: Viacord

I'm using Cryocell. I'm paying the price that they have on the website (don't remember off the top of my head). But when I called, I was told it was not negotiable.

I believe the last we got quoted was $1825 plus the $125 annually, which we want to pay right away instead of monthly payments with the exception of the annuals. They ofcourse started from the price they had on their website. I know for a fact you can negotiate with them. My doctor had given me a coupon for $200 off but I still think they can still lower it since they now have more competition but I also want to go with a reputable company. I also know they do the storage for other companies.
Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to answer this question.
Your input has helped tremendously and when I call them today, I'd be able to negotiate better.
Thanks soo much !!! Chat Icon

The one time fee is totally negotiable. You can definitely negotiate with them. I researched a few companies and actually like Viacord because they are very reputable, on the forefront of what they are doing and also because they even do the banking for other companies.
