Victoria Beckham in April issue of UK Vogue
On their British home and activities with the boys:
We bought this house because I wanted to live near my parents. The good thing about being further outside London is you can have lots of land and it's nice for the children -- they've got little quad bikes and a little pony. David and the kids and me playing on the quad bikes ... it's just nice to have that space.
The boys have a football pitch. David and the boys stick me in the goal and I dive side to side.
On her looks and body image:
I would never put my health at risk. Obviously working out is important. Well, I don't. I have joined a gym but can't bring myself to start. I can't bring myself to wear flat shoes!
I was never one of the tall, skinny, gorgeous ones. Eating disorders are an incredibly serious illness, but you've got to be realistic about who you are and what you are. I'd love to look like Linda Evangelista. You know what? I could try for the rest of my life, but I'm never going to look like her.
On one of her reasons for doing the Spice Girls reunion:
I want the boys to see me as a pop star, not just telling them to do their homework, and David can be reminded of the person he fell in love with.
On dealing with media attention in 2004 after David's former assistant made claims they had slept together:
You know, I love and trust my husband 100%. It's my job to protect the family. We have children and I wasn't going to go to court and drag up my personal life when my children were old enough to understand what they were hearing.
We have a very nice positive energy around us as a family, and if it's not positive and nice, I don't want to know about it.
On the family unit:
You know, we have fun. I laugh a lot, even though people say I look so bloody miserable. There's lots of singing and dancing going on the whole time. Not from David -- he doesn't have great rhythm! -- but from me and the boys.
On paparazzi:
You know what? You make your bed, you lie in it. I have never complained about it. The only time I find it difficult is with the children. If David and I go out and have a nice dinner in London, you're going to get photographed.
I get seen when I want to be seen, at the end of the day.
