Not allowed at my hospital (I'm upstate). I think most don't allow it anymore.

well, i would never have allowed DH to videotape the actual labor so i don't know if it's allowed at south nassau. however, the minute DS was born the video camera came on and no one had a problem with it. my not so brilliant DH got some great video of me while the doc was sewing my episiotomy

Oh - DH is NOT recording the delivery - that's for $h!t sure!!! I will NOT let that happen....
He was just hoping to get some immediate video.. a couple of the first minutes.
Hopefully not the same minutes the doc is stitching me or pushing out placenta OMG
