Re: Vietnam adoptions
There really aren't many of us who frequent these boards, at least that I'm aware of. The only people I know of are:
Jennifer (ttsmom): Korea - 2 adoptions through New Beginnings
Liz (tish): Korea - 1st adoption - New Beginnings
Sandra: China - 1st adoption - New Beginnings (SIL adopted domestically)
Michele (michele31): Ethopia - 1st adoption through Wide Horizons for Children
Suzan: Korea - 2 Korean adoptions - 1st through New Beginnings, 2nd through Love the Children
Me (Susan): 1st adoption through New Beginning's Korea program
Then, as I'm sure you've already read, someone's sister just adopted domestically.
I hope this helps. If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry!
You might be better off visiting adoption forums to get your info. www.holtintl.org/forums and www.adoption.com are great starts. Good Luck!

Re: Vietnam adoptions
I believe New Beginnings just resumed their program in Vietnam. Check their website at www.new-beginnings.org for details if you'd like.

Re: Vietnam adoptions
Wide Horizons told me that they are just opening up the Vietnam program now. I looked into it last year and it was a closed program. After the War the country had a lot of their children (a lot of orphans, of course) adopted internationally so they "lost" a generation and decided to halt them for a while.

Re: Vietnam adoptions
Vietnam just started their program again. My agency is Harrah's AIM and are approved to do Vietnam adoptions (they currently do China adoptions). The program is not up and running yet but if you are interested, their number is... 281-465-9990. I hope they can help with your questions! Robin
