Viking Cooking Classes

Has anyone gone to one before? My mom got my whole family gift certificates for Christmas last year and we still haven't used them yet. I've been looking at the schedule and most of them look delicious - I just don't know which one to choose!

I did one this summer with three friends...it was so much fun! We did "Girls' Night Out: Rome." We made stuffed artichoke hearts, veal saltimbocca and homemade ravioli--yum!!

I can't believe how they book up months in advance for these classes.

Re: Viking Cooking Classes

Dammit. We were looking for cooking classes on Long Island for our nephew's birthday months back. This place didn't come up in our search but it looks perfect for what we wanted.

I might still consider it for my husband and I in the future though, so I'll be reading with interest! Chat Icon

Re: Viking Cooking Classes

I took a demonstration class for Thanksgiving dinner -- it was great, very useful, and my dinner -- turned out awesome. Everyone said the best turkey they had ever eaten....

Re: Viking Cooking Classes

Go to www.vikingcookingschool.com. The location that's closest to us is Garden City. It will then take you to a calendar - I think the girls night sounds like good times! I wonder if they give you wine/beer to go along with the meal?!

I have done the grilling class and it was so much fun. we are doing the Steakhouse workshop in a couple of weeks and I can't wait! I love them and I have been trying to organize my girlfriends to do one, but it is kind of pricey.

They offer classes that are specifically for "date night" or "girls night out" and there is a wide variety of classes!

Re: Viking Cooking Classes

I gave DH a g/c for the wine tasting class...and we both did the knife class - both were excellent. We learned so much and definitely want to go back for more.
