Virgin Islands - Kid friendly???
Can anyone who has been to the Virgin Islands tell me if there is a kid friendly resort? And what areas are the best places to go? My kids will be 8.5, 6 and almost 2 yrs old when we were looking to go. Thanks!
What's there? St. Thomas, St. John, etc.??? I have no idea!

Re: Virgin Islands - Kid friendly???
We went to St John on our honeymoon and it was beautiful...we hired a private villa so did not stay at a resort but there was a resort closeby I think it was the Westin and it looked nice and was right on the beach.
St Thomas is more touristy than St. John and where all the cruise ships stop...not my cup of tea but there may be more options for resorts there.
St. Croix is the other island and I have never been there.
St John is very quiet laid back with nice restarants and beautiful beaches. I would take the kids there if they would be happy with the pool and beach and just chillin'.

Re: Virgin Islands - Kid friendly???
I wanted to go there for our honeymoon but was too expensive at the time. To me, it's more of a getaway place for a couple, not so much with the kids, lol.
ETA: It definitely looks beautifu there.

Look at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef in St. Thomas. In St. John, the Westin . Both are very family friendly.

Re: Virgin Islands - Kid friendly???
We've been to St Thomas without kids, but the resort was very family oriented (Wyndham Sugar Bay).I felt that the Westin in St John wasn't ask kid friendly as many other resorts. We've also done British Virgin Islands with kids, but it's not a traditionally kid friendly place, but it was fine for us.

Re: Virgin Islands - Kid friendly???
The us virgin Islands are kid friendly. Two-Thirds of St. John is largelely is national parkland, so there isn't that much to do outside of that. You can take a ferry there for a day.
St. Thomas is kid friendly with calm beaches, and Coral World (an aquarium type place) & a variety of food, not just traditional Caribbean stuff that kids might find weird or spicey.
