Visits to RE for IUI
AF came yesterday in full force. I have to call RE Monday to start the IUI process and was wondering if anyone knew about how many times I would have to go in to the RE office before the IUI and right after? I am trying to budget the co-pays since each time we go we have to pay.

Re: Visits to RE for IUI
usually once for cd3 testing. then you call them when u get ur positive opk and go in the next day for ur iui. You can go for progesterone testing a week later. I go in on cd 3 then start going every day starting from cd 9 to when my follicles are big enough to trigger. I usually trigger on cd 17 or so... (i have elevated lh so the opks dont work for me)

Re: Visits to RE for IUI
When I started my first medicated (follistim) IUI cycle I went in on CD 3 for bloodwork and u/s then went back 3 days later for more b/w and sono, then went every other day, until they decide to cancel because nothing was happening, so I went CD 3, 6, 8, 10, 13. Who knows how many more times I would have went if it wasn't cancelled!! I also pay $15 each visit!!!

Re: Visits to RE for IUI
I went on CD3 for b/w & sono. Then I went on CD6 for b/w, CD8 & 9 for b/w & sono, triggered in the a.m. of CD10 and did IUI a.m. of CD11.

Re: Visits to RE for IUI
Thanks everyone. Nurse told me today that I will be in at least 3 more times before IUI is scheduled. I completely forgot about the co-pay for the meds to account for...
