Re: Vittorio's in Amityville?
I have been there three times (to give it a fair shot) and I hated the food each time (different dishes). Granted, that was a few years ago and maybe they have gotten new chefs, but their pasta is awful. I have heard that their fish and steak are both good, but I am not going to return to find out! A good Italian place in Amityville is Bellissimo on MErrick Road. Also good is the new sushi place next door -- Roppongi -- it is bring your own booze, which I love b/c you save so much $$$.

Re: Vittorio's in Amityville?
We went there when we closed on the house. DH loved the steak and I had a chicken dish. It was good! Not amazing but the prices are expensive. I go to resturant.com to get a discount. I have not been to Belissimo which is up the block but I did purchase the resturant.com gift cert for there so I think next week DH and I are going to do dinner there I will let you know but I hear raves about Bellissimo

I was there once and was totally not impressed. Wouldn't go back.
