Voluntary recall of cantaloupe due to listeria outbreak
Just an FYI, I just heard this on the news. Its from Jensens farms in Colorado but I saw long island highlighted on the map.

I heard this on the news yesterday and kinda freaked out a little. I get cantaloupe from our employee cafeteria everyday.
I just left a message for the manager of the cafeteria. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I've been putting it in my smoothies all week too. I have a new one I just picked up tuesday but there's no sticker on it. I'm going to call stop and shop and just check. Your right better safe than sorry!

just wondering, is it the precut ones? b/c usually you have wash and remove the skin of the cantaloupe.. does that make it ok? i love cantaloupe..

I'm wondering this too. I have two whole cantaloupes at home from my mom with no stickers on them

if you get an answer from stop n shop can you let me know please? i ate cantaloupe from there last friday, saturday, sunday, and this tuesday! thanks...

They didn't specify if it was precut. I called stop and shop and they said they don't get there's from Jensens. Not sure if all the stores are the same though. I go to the one in bay shore.

Actually, cantaloupe is on the "unsafe" list due to salmonella.
