waiting for early miscarriage
Has anyone had a very early pregnancy that is not viable, yet it is taking a long time to miscarry, get your period? My numbers highest was 130. I would think it would not take long to start bleeding, but after taking home pregnancy tests every morning, the line is not getting lighter. I am being monitored by dr, but I just thought since my numbers never rose high, that this wouldn't be long waiting this out. Has this happened to anyone?

Re: waiting for early miscarriage
so sorry your going through this . At my first OB appt we discovered there was no HB at what was suppose to be 10w. Baby only measured 8w so I had a missed miscarriage. My body did not expel fetus on its own, I had to have a D&C (I also did NOT want to wait). I know its different from your situation but wanted to share my story. Everyone is different but it took a while to get my AF back. I was very impatient but my body is back to normal. I wish you well and lots of

Re: waiting for early miscarriage
I've been through a few miscarriages and while it took a while to miscarry naturally or had to have a D&C, my numbers were very high. My first blood test was a week ago and it has rose only slightly and the highest as of Friday is 130, which is not viable, where it should be. I just thought because it was so early, that this would take place very quickly. Today I took another HPT and the line is the exact color as yesterday. I am being monitored with bloodwork, etc, but I didn't think since my numbers never rose high it would be this long of a waiting game.

Re: waiting for early miscarriage
My last m/c I opted for a D&C because I waited weeks for my body to miscarry and I couldn't take it anymore. However, I think my numbers went up to 15,000. Is your doctor routinely checking your levels?

Yes, I am getting bloodwork every two days.

Re: waiting for early miscarriage
Hey there, I am so sorry for your loss. How far along are you?
Last year I found out that I lost the baby at 5.5 weeks but my body held it till 8 weeks. I did have spotting on and off and then at 8 weeks it got heavier and heavier. I did opt for a D&C at 9 weeks though because I was cramping badly and I just couldnt take the physical and emotional pain, I just needed it over. Ugh.
Also my numbers were 15,000 at 7 weeks still.

Re: waiting for early miscarriage
I had a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks and had to do a d&c after the 10/11 week mark 'cus the OB was worried I would get an infection... It just wasn't happening naturally.
Wish I had done earlier 'cus it's taking awhile to get my period but I had to find out for sure that I actually miscarried...
