Waiting for Test Results...UPDATE
I just need to vent...
I cannot handle the stress of waiting for test results. DH went for a SA last week (through my doctor) and she called and left me a message saying that all of his results were normal. It was a sense of relief to get the message.
However, I am waiting for my CD 3 results and the doctor called today and left me a message saying that I needed to call her back to discuss the results. I am pretty sure that it is doctor-speak for something is wrong. If they were completely normal, she would have left it in the message.
I have called the office twice and am completely stressed out waiting for these results and unable to focus on my work. I was assured that someone would call me back today. I know that this is not a matter of life and death and that there could be any range of results, but the pessimist in me is expecting the worst (whatever that may be).
Sorry to ramble, but I just needed to vent!
UPDATE: So the doctor finally called back and the results were not too good. My FSH level was 9.6 and she said my other levels were indicative of PCOS and other potential problems. I do not feel like I got a full explanation from her (which I had a feeling would happen because this was just my regular ob-gyn), but she recommened that they do a sonogram of my ovaries tomorrow and then I make an appointment to see an RE. I am upset right now, but feel like I can really move forward. I have already done my research and I calling for an appointment now!

Re: Waiting for Test Results...
I'd be annoyed!!!
I always ask for my results to be faxed to me so I can look at them when I speak to the Dr

That's a good idea - though I would have to man the fax machine waiting for them!!! I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because they assured me that they would call me back today and the office is open until 7:00.

Re: Waiting for Test Results...UPDATE
ok, 9.6 is not horrible...slightly elevated, but not undoable...
get your results faxed if you didn't already and do a little research...I always found it better to understand these things in layman's terms

Re: Waiting for Test Results...UPDATE
I agree with PP 9.6 is not bad at all. It's elevated but not bad. Do you have a consult set up to discuss the results?

I feel like I didn't get the full story from her and I am not entirely sure why she thinks I have PCOS. I have an appointment with her tomorrow morning for a sonogram so she can look at my ovaries. She also told me that she thinks I need to see an RE so I made my initial appointment with Dr. Flisser at RMA for Monday. I am going to ask for a copy of my lab results when I go tomorrow.
ETA: I am not happy with that office and I just don't think I am going to get the answers I want from her. I think my best bet is to see an RE. It's been about 8-9 months and I don't need a referral.

I saw Dr. Flisser a lot when I was stimming these past few months. He's very quiet, kinda straight to the point, but I really liked him. He was originally from NYU and he's very good. Honestly felt like he was my RE since I saw him all the time. My RE is Dr. Copperman in NYC office. The NP Laura is great. I would not have made it through two IVF's without her. She is complete opposite of Dr. Flisser, she has huge personality. So, I guess it works good that way.
