Waiting stinks!
Plain and simple...this just stinks.
When I started the program I was told to expect 3-5 months of wait time. Now that has come and gone and I am almost at 6 months..due to an increase in Ethiopia adoption worldwide. Waiting stinks!

Oh Boy, do I hear ya. I was told the latest I would wait for a referral was last Friday. Now they can't even promise it'll happen in 06 due to legislation that's just been passed in Korea.  Here's some while you wait! Hang in there. It DOES stink!

Hi Michele and all others awaiting referral news,
Waiting does stink, we are adopting from China and when we were DTC last August, the wait was about 6 months. We were logged in 8/17, almost a year later and have at least a month or two to go. I am new here, maybe to help pass the time you can all list where you are adopting from and what the wait is like from each country? You are all so supportive, why don't we help to educate each other on what is happening with all the countries? Waiting to hear from all of you,

Robin,
Congratulations on getting so close. We are adopting our 2nd child from Korea. Our first is 4 and she came home from Korea in Jan 03.
Hopefully we will hear about your referral really really soon. Keep us posted.

I totally agree!! We had our LID on 10/27/05 and they are saying we'll be lucky to recieve our referral before the end of March 2007! Then another two months before we can travel. The wait when we started was 6-8 months and now we are looking at 19 months!
While I'm happy so many babies are getting adopted now, it is very frustrating!!

No...we don;'t have our referal yet. Once we get our referal we will travel in 6-8 weeks.

Hi Michele,
I know how bad the waiting is.. but it will be SO worth it when your child finally arrives! I thought my Tiana would NEVER get here, but since she's been home it's like I don't even remember how horrible the wait was... Feels like she's been with us FOREVER! I know everyone says that, but to finally experience it... amazing... Hang in there!
