waiting to miscarry
We found out yesterday that the baby is not growing. I am 7 1/2 weeks. I have not taken PIO or estrogen since Friday- this is an IVF pg. I am waiting to miscarry "naturally". The cramping has gotten pretty bad but I find myself checking the tp everytime I go. When can I expect miscarriage to actually start? It is so painful to keep waiting and worrying about what is going on in my body. Even though I am heartbroken about losing my baby I would also like to start the healing process. Any similar experiences?

Re: waiting to miscarry
First off, I am soooo terribly sorry. For me, I had brown spotting almost 2 wks before I miscarried naturally - at the time I thought it was normal b/c I hadn't had a sono yet. Once I found out the pg was not viable it was a Wednesday - I was almost 9 wks but the baby stopped growing around 6w3d. By that Sunday I started bleeding red - nothing too bad. That night I had cramping - I would describe as bad twinges - uncomfortable, but I wasn't doubled over in pain. Advil helped. Monday I had bleeding and by Tuesday morning I miscarried. It was only b/c they couldn't schedule the D&C sooner that I waited and in that time miscarried naturally. I am now thankful that it happened that way in that time. I'm so sorry, I know the waiting is horrible.

Re: waiting to miscarry
I am so very sorry for your losss. I know that feeling of just wanted to be on the healing side of it..it is cruel to have to be in limbo..when i miscarried natuarlly it took about a week after stopping meds...one of my friend went to her accupucturist and that helped bring it on...sending you many hugs

Re: waiting to miscarry
It took 2 weeks once I found out that the pregnancy wasn't going to be viable for my body to miscarry naturally. Once I started cramping I bled for about 2 additional weeks. The waiting is torture. My thoughts are with you. I'm so sorry
