Waking each other up...

DD used to be a great sleeper, then we moved her into her crib and she's waking up several times a night and by 3:45 she seems to be starving. She used to sleep until about 5:30. I would love to try CIO with her but now every time she wakes up in the night (about 5-10 times) she wakes up DS, so we wind up feeding her.

Any advice?

Is she getting enough to eat during the day? My doctor told me if they are waking in the middle of the night by now, most likely they are trying to get the calories they weren't getting during the day. He told me not to increase the formula, but if they seem hungry inbetween meals, start the cereal in the bottle. I started a couple of days ago, all I put in is a quarter of the teaspoon, and they have been sleeping from 10:00pm (last bottle) to 7am or later. She could be waking because she is in a foreign place, is she alone in the crib? I hope this helps.

This was our problem as well - fast forward 15 months and we were still getting her in the middle of the night.
Last week we started CIO with her - with her brother in the room as well. Surprisingly she didn't cry very long - and when she did - he slept right thru it (most of the time) - if he woke up he would cry for a little bit - but eventually they settled back down. So now if one is screaming and carrying on, they either both CIO or one sleeps thru it. We just figured enough was enough already! We were exhausted!
