Re: waking newborn up

Does she definitely have her D&N confused? She is a newborn and they do sleep all day and night.

Re: waking newborn up

when dd was a infant i used to let her know it was morning I would open the window to let the sunlight in and change her into a non footy outfit and i would sing and dance. At the night time I would change her into Pj's and keep the lights low . Try that.. let them know that there is a difference ...

Good luck

My advice, sleep when she does even if its during the day. She'll change when she is ready.

Re: waking newborn up

My dd also had her days and nights mixed up in the beginning. I also did something similar to E A S Y. I always feed her then changed her diaper and had playtime. When I first started this routine she would only stay up in total for 15-20 mins, but it was a start. 15-20 mins everytime she ate added up to enough time that she slept better at night. I am also a big advocate of a bedtime routine. We do bath, bottle, bed and this has helped more than I ever thought.

Hope that helps. Let me kn ow if you have any questions.

I did this as well. I also would wake Sara during the day after 4 hours. She was sleeping through the night by 8 weeks so I guess I did it right

I never woke my baby up, and she found her routine on her own. I also did the Baby Whisper EASY, but I don't remember her saying to wake the baby up. At 3 weeks DD was sleeping most of the the time. They figure out on their own the days and nights.
