Wall air conditioner cost
Anyone recently put a wall unit in? I was wondering how much installation runs.

What's on the outside of the wall? Brick, stucco, cedar shingles, asphalt shingles, metal siding, vinyl siding? That makes a difference in the price, especially brick or stone.

Just had ours done.. Brick exterior.. second floor..
we got quotes between $725 - $850... Does not include cost of the A/C unit.

we recently had 2 installed from PC Richards
first floor / brick exterior
it was $250/per AC unit

We just bought a 12000btu at PC Richards for $250 then the instalation in the 2nd floor of a wood frame house was $145.

We have vinyl siding and already have the wall unit.
Was the cost from pc richards cheaper because you bought the unit from them?

I think it's just their installation price. I'm sure it would be less if you have the hole in the wall. I'm not sure if they even install stuff purchased from another place and never asked since we were just there to get one from them.

i am not sure if they install ACs other than ones you buy from them, but i already had the holes in my walls from existing ACs and it was still $250/each
i found that pretty crazy when at the time i purchased them they had a pre-season installation sale for $69 -- but that was only for new installations, no existing openings. You would think they would extend it to replacing existing ACs when there is less to cut and less work.

It depends on the size of the unit. We got a small one for 700 and larger ones for over 1000 ( I think)
