Wanted to share our small storage idea (pics)
DH saw this piece on ikea's website a few weeks ago and we finally got down there last weekend to see it in person. We needed some extra storage in the den besides the two storage ottomans (which doubles as the office/playroom) but since we have a pull out couch in there for guests we couldn't get anything too deep. We needed to be able to open the bed.
This was perfect! It's actually a shoe holder but it works great as a toy holder.

Does it mount to the wall? Are there just the two legs in the front, and did it come darker like cherry? This would be perfect for ds room.

Yes, it has to be mounted... it doesn't stand up on its own since it only has the two legs in the front. Our molding was too high so DH added those pegs to the bottom just so it didn't look like it was floating.
It comes in the black-brown color too.

It's called the HEMNES shoe cabinet... $99.
Forgot to mention, the doors are a little hard for DD to open (she's 18 months) since the kinda "stick" in when you close them - if that makes sense - but she should be able to do it easier as she gets older.

Each compartment is meant to hold 2 pairs of shoes I think. You can't fit anything big but now that DD is older she has accumulated a lot of little toys that are perfect for this kind of storage. Also one of the sections we put her Melissa & Doug wooden puzzles (she has 3 or 4 of them), some coloring books & her crayons and another section has a lot of books stacked in there.
