warning about early-pregnancy-tests.com test strips (not sticks)

just wanted to let you know my experience.

i tested the day AF was due with one of the e--p-t.com test strips. nothing came up so i threw it out and figured i wasn't pregnant.

2 days later i tested again because i was late. again nothing. i left it on the bathroom sink and went back about 5 minutes later and there was the *faintest* line which took several minutes to show up.

i took another one several days later to see if it would be darker (it was) but that too took several minutes

unlike their test sticks, first response, etc--which all gave me a positive result in seconds, the strips take about 5 minutes!! which means i probably would have known on sunday when AF was due if i had left it out. but i had no idea!

it's really disappointing because sunday was a special day for my family and it would have been nice to know on that day. i wish i had never gotten those strips and just stuck with the first response (which had a dark line immediately) or their test sticks. i guess that's why they're so cheap.

so please...if you must use them...wait for a result for 5 minutes and then retest with a different stick! granted, everyone may have a different response from them, but if you're like me, retest!! Chat Icon

I totally agree with you!! When I was pg with my son, I tested 2 days before AF, negative, the day AF was due, negative. 3 days later.... you guessed it negative. It was only after I went to my Dr thinking I had cancer did she confirm that I was almost 6 weeks along. I will never use those strips again

I don't know, they worked for me.
I did use First Response tests first, because I tested early (11DPO). I got a positive with the FR test, so I did know I was pg.
Since I loved POAS Chat Icon , once I ran out of the FR tests, I did use a few of the early-pregnancy-tests.com strips. I got a definite line on them starting when AF would have been due/late.

I have those test strips and the instructions say to read the test at 5 minutes. So I wouldn't expect it to be accurate within a few seconds.

i had no instructions with mine. either they never sent them or i accidentally threw them out.

but the line was the faintest out of all of the different tests that i took. i wouldn't use them again in the future

That's strange. I got instructions with my order and I've ordered about three times. They are also posted online at their website.
