Was anyone not truly looking for a home when....UPDATE

they spotted the home of their dreams?...and decided to "go for it"?

DH and I had no intentions to look for a home yet, but one has completely sparked our interest. It in a neighborhood we like..."owners are motivated to sell".....

Geez....we haven't even gone to see what we're approved for yet...that's how much we weren't really expecting to truly look.

Has anyone done anything soooo insane?Chat Icon

Yes,

DH had a home, we just got back from our honeymoon and I found a colonial that needed MAJOR TLC. We sold, moved into DH's parent's apt. for four months while my disaster houseChat Icon was made into my vision. My contractors were there for four months, every day. WE sold last summer at the right ttime and bought a house for less than 6 figures off the appraisal. We made out really well.

I love my home and will never move unless I'm the one in the boxChat Icon

I am doing this RIGHT now. As we go into contract next week I hope:
We are nowhere near what I wanted to save for a house, our mortgage is Chat Icon, I wanted to live on two floors...but we are going to be in a neighborhood that we both want to be in,the lots size is huge if we want to expand (which I do), the seller is moving to LA so is SUPER motivated, and the house already appraised for 30k more than what we are paying!

Sometimes you just gotta do it I guess...ask me next year I guessChat Icon
