Was it harder for you to lose the baby weight with your second child compared to your first?
With DS, I was back to my normal shape by 10m pp. I don't know exactly when I lost the weight but I know I had a belly for a while but it finally went away by 10m and I felt normal again. I stopped breastfeeding around 8m.

With #1- took me 2 years to be skinnier than before i was pregnant.
with #2 i had 8 lbs left to lose when i found out i was pregnancy with #3 at 4.5 months post partum.
with #3 i'm 6 months and still only have 6 lbs left to go to be the same i was before my 2nd, but there is no way my body is anywhere it should be right now.

#1- took 8mths plus, back to pre pg weight, went off BC (for other reasons), gained 6lbs and then had to WW. Lost all plus then some.
#2- Twin pg, 6mths -back to pre pg weight. Did it with WW.

I lost it a little more quickly with #2.
I think the difference for me was the season - DS was October so I wasnt in as big of a rush because it was hidden better but DD was June and I felt much more exposed.

With DS I lost it all by about 8-9months PP. With DS #2 I am now 10months PP and I still have 2lbs to go. But I know it will come off soon enough.

In my case, I lost it much quicker with #1 than with #2. Still trying to lose #2 weight.

Re: Was it harder for you to lose the baby weight with your second child compared to your first?
After my first I knew we were going to have another baby soon after (started trying when he was 1) so I was in no rush to get the weight off.
When I got pregnant with my second I was still holding on to 20lbs.
Right now I am about 8lbs away from my goal and these 8lbs have been really hard to get rid of.

similar here! after baby #1 i was more lazy about getting back into shape b/c i knew another would be coming soon. after baby #2 arrived 2 yrs later i was serious about losing it. it took me nine months AFTER though to finally join WW and start a real running regimen. but i did it and it took about 4-5 months,,,i had about 20lbs to lose. ETA that i started running again and WW b.c DS was weaned at about 8 months and started STTN around then too which gave me so much more freedom and energy.

I don't remember the exact length but I know it took longer with DC#1. I am happy it took shorter with DC#2 since it was my last pregnancy and I was able to have my body back.

Ahhhmmmm, yeah! really hoping to get on track and get this weight off - but my kids were 20 months apart so it didn't leave me much time to get in shape after the first.
My youngest is now 3 years old - and my resolution is to get my act together fast!

Re: Was it harder for you to lose the baby weight with your second child compared to your first?
After #1 I was back to my PP weight by 3 months, this time around my belly is just not the same, I got really streched out and definitely have to hit the gym, 1st time around I didn't have to exercise at all, it came of naturally, my body has definitely taken a toll with a second pregnancy even though second time around I gained less weight, ugh.

Re: Was it harder for you to lose the baby weight with your second child compared to your first?
took longer with #1, it all had come off when DS was around 11-12 months. However I was fluctuating up to 10 lbs (I think b/c I was on BC) so when I got pregnant with my DD I was up like 5 lbs or so. This time around I was back to my pre-preg weight (and had lost even more) by around 8 months. It flew off this time around for some reason and I was not breast feeding. I think chasing an active 3 yr old and baby helped

Re: Was it harder for you to lose the baby weight with your second child compared to your first?
i think it will be.. this time for me bc I only gained 18 pounds the first time and I gave birth to almost a 9 pounder...i lost the weight and then some almost immediately and was wearing my size 2's at 8 days post birth. This time, I have gained more weight, have been eating garbage, not exercising and my baby is measuring smaller. Quite frankly, i could give a crap less. i know my body and i am just supposed to be thin. my body will do what it needs to do. and so what if i am a size 4 after this? i have other priorities in life at the moment and fitting back into my size 2 R and R's, is not one of them.
