Several different kinds. Should be on the back of the watch. Often something like CR2025. The battery itself will also be labeled.

i am lazy and just bring my watch to Tourneau. they replace my battery and check out the rest of the watch to make sure it's working properly. it takes an hour and costs $25.

I would always bring my watches to the chinese guy next to the escalator in Tri County Flea Market.

I ended up going to the jeweler in town with the 3 watches that needed batteries. They were able to replace 2 of them for $10, but they're still working on the fossil. For some reason , jewelers always have a hard time opening that one. I figured I should be a grown up and start wearing a watch more so it was time for new batteries!
