Oh I couldn't agree with you more!!!!! Shaylie's first night home was a complete nightmare. My mom had to come over the next day so I could get some sleep. Friday night was bad too and then DH and I had to wake up early to take Shaylie to the doctor for her 1 week check up. We dropped her off at my parents afterwards so we can run some errands and she slept the entire time. When we got home, all 3 of us took a nap. She was pretty good last night and I got some decent sleep.

I thought the same thing, but at least for me, my sleep issues during pregnancy (constantly up for several hours during the middle of the night) were nothing compared to the sleep deprivation I've had with DS.

Lately, I'm lucky if I get 45 minutes at a stretch.

My dd was such a good newborn.. slept pretty good at night.. so know this time around its pay back time.. so dont plan on getting much sleep.

for me this was seriously true and i wish someone had told me! i was wickedly sleep-deprived for 4 months til DD got on a schedule. it is the one and only thing i am dreading this time around!
