Watched the first couple episode of Jersey Shore

I've watched a few minutes of 1 episode of this show in my entire life but have been intrigues by all the hub bub on her.

MTV was running a marathon so I got to watch 1 or 2 episodes while the kiddos napped.

Are these people for real? The way they talk, dress act. THey are like cartoon characters. Holy cow. It was hysterical, I'm sad I didn't watch sooner Chat Icon Chat Icon

My question is this: Does anyone in real life (or LIF) live like this? Do these people remind you of your own circle?

My circle-even when I was younger and single-was waaaaay more sedate than these people.

Uh, so I don't use the blush guy but I kind of want to here - I went on 3 dates with someone like this back in October. Yeah.

Actually, to be completely honest, I think I love this show because it reminds me so much of when I had a share house years ago with my friends and future DH (that's how we met...LOL...I hope we did not act like Sammi and Ronnie!). I can tell you that 1/2 of the crap that goes on in the Jersey house happened in our share house as well...going out, getting drunk, hooking up and dealing with the repercussions the next day was all part of our house experience. I'm not sure if that's funny or sad but at the time, it was pretty damn fun!

Sure...that's what makes the show so amusing IMO. I've seen plenty of Snooki and Pauly D like characters at fine establishments such as Djais and Bar A Chat Icon

Re: Watched the first couple episode of Jersey Shore

yes people like this really do exist. they are not just made up characters... they do actually mimic real life for some people.

it's almost part of the charm. haha!!

In college, i was hooking up with a guy that looked and acted just like Pauly D for a while (right before i started dating DH- the COMPLETE opposite). Anyway, he totally wore lip gloss. he said it was just chap stick, but regular Man-style chap stick isn't tinted and flavored, IMO. He was a fun time though. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a clock that had "t-shirt time" on it, though. Chat Icon

Watching that show makes me miss college, eventhough i like to think that we weren't even close to being on the same level of "Tool" as some of those guys lol

apparently going to school isn't even worth it anymore because society has shown us it pays better to run around acting like a putz on reality tv

My circle of friends no, but I know of plenty of people like this. Especially when I was younger. Go to any club or Gym on LI, you will find a jersey shore look alike at one. LOL
