what is up with suze????!!!!
what's up with the format of the show???!!!
it was "billed" as being ANSWERS about the economy and how it affects us... that was NOT what they did!
why did suze talk down to EVERYONE!!??
what was up with both oprah and suze's attitudes??
i don't watch oprah anymore... today, it was just re-confirmed why i don't

I am likely in the minority on this site, but I think Suze is a moron. I think she tends to repeat the same advice over and over and over again, regardless of an idividual situation.
I swear, her answer for everything is "Roth IRA" (which a lot of us don't even qualify for....)
FWIW, I've read more than one of her books and watched her show several times. I'm really not impressed.

i USED to love her. i read her first book and loved it. but for a while now, she has been repeating herself.
what bothered me was the ATTITUDE!
both she and oprah were talking down to EVERY SINGLE person who asked a question!
it hurt to watch

I'm not watching, but I think there are times when she is spot on and there are times when she has no clue.
She tells everyone to save their money. Ok, I get that, but not everyone has the 1k or 2k to save every month.

Suze is the only one I've watched so far .... I would like to learn more though.
I agree that she repeats herself, and I didn't like how they both talked down to the people calling in / asking questions. From what I've seen, that seems to be her "style' though

Well, if you keep repeating the same things over and over again, you're bound to be right once in a while. 
To be honest, she's way too focused on SAVING money and not focused enough on truly INVESTING, which is a way of making your money (or better yet, someone else's money) work for you.
She's okay with helping financially illiterate people get on track if they've been buried under CC debt and drinking $20 lattes every day... but when it comes to actually building and growing wealth (not just scrimping and saving and stashing all your money away), I don't think she has a clue... and I think this is truly important, whether you can save $10 or $10,000 a month.

Ehh - I'm watching right now and she is being nasty. It's not the first time she's been nasty to people.
I think she picked on the "mutual fund" couple. She was treating them like they were idiots.

I definitely like David Bach more than Suze, but he isnt the best either.
Suze is good for people who know NOTHING about finance - which is good bc you can learn from her - but after you are more versed in finance you can dump suze - she doesnt have anything new to say.
David Bach is too dependent on real estate to get rich imo - i think if you follow his advice in a bad re market you can get in trouble.
I personally love Laura Rowley (she writes on Yahoo Finance). and I recommend the book "On my Own Two feet" - it was written by two harvard mba grads (both female) and it is an excellent book with little fluff and a lot of substance.

What gives her the right?
Just because shes an expert, well other people have OTHER JOBS , thats why shes the expert and they need her advice.
She treats people like they should just KNOW these things automatically.

Why doesn't she get rid of her luxuries then? She is the last one to give advice about what we need to live.

I have never heard her or read any of her books.
After reading this thread, i'll keep it that way.
I have found that you can learn a lot more about finances and stuff like this by just reading people's stories on different financial forums.
I have learned so much more from this than listening to these "so-called pros" like Suze and all her hot air.

It's funny b/c I was thinking the EXACT same thing last night as I watched some of it.
I'm not a fan of Suze either. Besides her attitude and the tone she takes with people, I don't think he advice works for everyone, though she tries to make it seem that way.

I normally like Suze, but I hate that she is on Oprah so much now. Her and Oprah together really irritate me. I only saw a few clips from the show yesterday, and she was condescending to everyone!
I could go on and on about Oprah- can't stand her!!... I used to really like her show, but can't stand to watch it unless Dr. Oz is on, because I love him. She is the WORST interviewer EVER.. she is constantly looking at the teleprompter, not at the guest, or she is interupting them to say something philosophical (or that she thinks is).

I agree about her. can't stand her and I don't agree with some of what she says. I like Ramsey and my own financial advisor..no substitue for custom made advice.
Kara, what you said about investing..she doesn't help people who have the money saved to build wealth.
