Water Intake

I thought I remember reading somewhere that your water intake depends on your body weight, anyone know if that's true?

or does everyone just drink 8, 8oz glasses per day?

On the "WW weigh in" thread I see alot of girls mention they drink tons of water, just wondering how much "a ton" of water is. I try to drink about 6 or 7 standard size Poland Spring Bottles every day, just wondering if I should be drinking more.

I "heard" that you are supposed to drink 1 oz of water for every lb.

I know that is alot of water but that is supposed to keep your body hydrated and functioning

I thought it was 1oz for every 2 pounds (half your weight).

I think if you are drinking 6 pr 7 bottles, you are probably drinking enough.

With WW, a lot of people did not pay attention to drinking water before. So for them, 6 glasses could be a "ton" or because they are going to the bathroom a lot, it seems like a ton.
