Water Parks?
So I now have DH's family in town and need to go on the tours with them. I really didn't want to pay to go to an amusement park so I convinced them to go to the water park instead. Most of the day will be spent in the kiddo area with DD but I will be able to out on my own a little bit. Am I allowed on water slides? I know rides at an amusement park are out so I guess this is too huh?

Re: Water Parks?
my guess would be no... the slides with all the bumping around and rushing water are likely not a good idea......
maybe only a regular pool

Re: Water Parks?
I've been wondering the same thing. We're going to Splish Splash later this week. I'll be just about 7 weeks. I can't see why this early on it would be harmful to go on some of the tame slides (since those are the only ones DD can go on anyway). I remember going a couple of years ago & seeing a warning to pregnant women on some of the slides, but I don't remember if it was on all of them or if it gave any specifics.

I was thinking about the slow ones with tubes also, not the crazy ones where you have to cross your legs and stuff. I have been going in the ocean with DD and the Pacific is pretty rough. I didn't think about that either. So I guess I will find out tomorrow and let you know!

Re: Water Parks?
I went to splish splash yesterday (Sunday). I am 23 weeks. I did the Lazy River & the Wave Pool. I also went on the Mamouth River, the ride with the big tube that fits 5 people. That ride is not that bumpy & it is really short, but you get nice & wet. Other than that I just went to kiddie areas with my neice while everyone else went on the rides that she was too small to go on.
I had a really good time, but by the end of the day my feet were killing me from all of the walking.
I say go have fun!

Re: Water Parks?
i was at splish splash last week, im almost 19weeks...i agree with the above poster..i did the lazy river, and the wave pool..but to be honest i did the mamouth river too (the one with the tube that holds 5-6) and thought it was WAY to much for a pregnant person to handle..i would never go on it again..maybe im just slightly wimpy though :) lol
have fun!! stay in the lazy river!!

Re: Water Parks?
Thanks everyone! I probably would be too nervous to leave my DD for even a second, even though my SIL is a mom too. So I will play it safe and do stuff with her all day.
