Water Taxi home from Fire Island?
Anyone ever take one?
I am having my sister bach party there and I want to make sure we can have as much fun as we want and leave when we want
I have the water taxi info- but I wanted to know if anyone has ever taken one and if you called in advance?

I've taken them, I've never called in advance, I've usually just gotten them right off the dock where the ferries leave out of, usually they're just there...perhaps one of the bartenders at whatever bar you end up at would have a number of a reputable one though, I've been in a bunch of different ones, and it doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what they charge or how many people they let on, etc.

I've taken them before because it was too late to get the ferry. I never had to call...they were just there at a certain time, i think.

Call the Water taxi companies. Some summers the rules change. For a while, the Town of Bay Shore was not letting water taxis arrive back there after 2am or 2:30. It was too noisy. I don't know what is happening this summer but water taxi service has changed a lot in the past few years. It used to be very easy to find one at the bay.

ok- so there is a ferry at 1am
I didn't see that on line- but the water taxi people told me
since the shower is during the day- I can't see us staying later then 1am
so that's the plan for now- I got us a limo to take us to and from
dinner reservations
I have a bottle of moet for the ride
we are all set
