Water water everywhere...

Ugh I am so sick of water. Sometimes it is so hard for me to get it down. I *try* to get 64 oz. of water in a day and so many times I am sitting there staring at the cup wishing I could just finish it already. I don't know maybe I was tortured as a kid with water balloons or something or have a mental block. Chat Icon My fab co-worker and WW buddy will even send me emails to remind me to drink water and I still can't drink it. Anyone have any tips of getting the water in? Chat Icon

Thanks Gail! My friend gave me true lemon which is a packet that you put into the water to make it taste like lemon and that helps to make it taste better too.

Re: Water water everywhere...

I'm right there with you. If I have to have water, it has to be iced water.
My DH doesn't get how I am not dehydrated 99% of the time because I don't drink enough of anything. If I drink 40 oz of liquid all day, that is a lot!!

I was going to mention the true lemon too. They also have lime and orange flavors!

Re: Water water everywhere...

every morning I take my weight watchers water bottle - fill it with ice and water and I drop some frozen fruit in there (frozen cherries, peaches, strawberries, raspberries all will work) it flavors the water (and turns it a pretty pink color) and makes it muuuuch easier to drink all day.

I don't know, I have never had a problem drinking water! I love water and drink it with everything, I very rarely have a glass of soda.

However, I do find that I drink more water when it's in a bottle rather than a cup. I don't know why, I just do. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Water water everywhere...

I also don't have a water problem. In fact I think I drink TOO much water because I am CONSTANTLY peeing!!!! Chat Icon

I have two Poland Spring bottles that are 1.5L (60 ounces) of water each. I bring them to school everyday and I make sure that I've finshed at least one before I leave. I usually end up drinking one and a half by the time the day is over. Maybe it'll help having something like that in front of you, knowing that you must finish it.

Stop thinking of it as a chore and think of how great it is for your body!!! You'll feel so much better when you're properly hydrated. I am so used to it I tend to feel lousy when I don't drink enough for the day.

Good luck!!! You can do it!!!!!!!!!! Chat Icon

Wow - thank you all so much for the great advice. I went into WW last night to buy one of the huge mugs and they just discontinued them. Chat Icon ...figures! But I love the idea of putting in ice, water and frozen fruit. I am going to get a 32 oz bottle or cup and do that. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have the huge/tall Poland Spring bottle that I fill up every day and drink it throughout the day.

I wait for it to get to room temperature then I can drink alot b/c when its too cold, it doesnt go down as quick and easy.

I make sure that by 5pm its finished, but sometimes if there is some left, I pour it into my smaller water bottle that I bring to the gym.
