Waving and Pointing
Do some kids just not point or wave? I mean at an early age, between 1-2 years old... Any moms with kids at that age that didn't do those things?

yes my son...never was a pointer or a waver or a clapper. I was so worried because all the milestone charts had them listed. We just realized he never wanted to clap, point or wave. Eventually he did but not till much later on closer to 18- 20 months.
Now he is 2 years old and he still isn't much of a pointer, clapper, waver. However he is totally on target with everything.
Sometimes they just aren't into it.

Aly is 14 mths and JUST starting to sort of do a wave. She never points to anything.

Okay, my son isn't a big talker but he's only 15 1/2 months...like you, I'm just worried b/c I see that one of the milestones is waving and pointing. THANKS so much for writing this. I was thinking Matteo couldn't be the only baby/toddler that doesn't like to wave and point!

DS is 11 months and he points, waves and occassionaly claps.
Some kids do it later on and that's fine. don't worry
