Waynes Coating?
any pics?
Where do you get it, Home Depot?
Has anyone ever done it in the Dining Room...
My mom said not to, just to put a chair rail, but someone suggested it to me....
Any comments or pics?

Its wainscotting and we have it in a few places in our house. We have it in our dining room, its white and we painted the top red. WE got it in Home Depot, and we did this instead of just a chair rail because the sheetrock was a mess and we did it as a quick fix to hide the imperfections.
We also have the oak wainscotting in our office room, but I don't have any pictures.

We love ours. We have it in the DR and kitchen. DH bought it at Home Depot and installed it himself - it was very easy to install.

funny story - related to spelling of wainscotting. my sister recently purchased a home and the realtor, yes a veteran realtor listed the home w/ "waynes coating".
back to your question. we have 3/4 wainscotting in our DR. was installed when we bought the house but definelty adds character.

I didn't mention it here (or did I?) that we have the oak wainscotting in our office room. My DH stained it to match the doors and moldings too, and it looks great!
So there are many options!

this is a pict of the den before we moved in, with the wainscotting a natural color, we have since painted it white and the walls a tan color...
And this was a pict of their master bedroom before we moved in... now we have the top red and the bottom white...
