We are BINKY FREE YAY!!!!!
Sooo after hearing about cutting a whole in the binky I decided to be brave and just do it...... Well it worked!!!!!
Mallory could only fall asleep for bedtime, naptime and in the car only with the binky and I decided that at 21 months that it was time to go! So I cut a hole in the binky and the first night she played with it for a little while and after about an hour fell asleep... naptime the next day she played with it for a little while and in about 1/2 hr she fell asleep... she never really cried, just didn't fall asleep right away... She asked for her binky for 2 days and played with it while she fell asleep but now a week later she doesn't even ask for it!!!! If I had any idea that it would be this easy I would have done it A LOOOONNNGG time ago.
Just wanted to share with you ladies... I thought she was too attached to ever be separated from the binky, but cutting a whole in it really works!

Woohoo.. thats great!
I did it too. we actually took a trip to sesame place and told Jillian that we gave them to Elmo.. she was great at her nap and at night but the next day she was so over tired she said to me .. Call Elmo and tell himn to give me my binky's back
Then she found on ein the house and I cut it in front of her and made her throw it out,,, it was hard and she has her moments to learn how to clam her self down

Congrats!! That is wonderful! I am still waging this battle with my almost 26 month old! What did you use to make the hole? How big? etc....THANKS! and congrats again!!!!

I just cut a slit with the scissors, all you need is enough to break the suction.

Help. Rebecca is 25 months. I cut 4 holes in her binky and she still sucking on it. Next step??? I wish mine was just as easy!
