We found out the gender!! And had a little gender reveal...
Yesterday we had a small gathering with our parents, siblings, and two close family friends (who we consider family)  to tell them if we are having a boy or a girl...
We asked everyone to guess when they first arrived, only Vin and I knew, and the majority were on team girl... then, we had only about four people on team boy.
I had a cake made from Alpine Bakery - with either blue or pink colored pudding on the inside... The outside was a mix of blue and pink icing and it said "Bundles of Joy be it a girl or a boy" with a ? mark in the middle...
Vinny and I had a sonogram yesterday at 10am and then everyone came over last night for dinner and our gender reveal cake. When we went for the sonogram Vinny and I really had no idea, no 'feeling', or anything like that either way. This was kind of nice because, either way, we were surprised and so happy. Baby didn't want to cooperate for the first few minutes, keeping the legs crossed and not turning around to show us! But, finally, HE revealed himself and we are thrilled to share that we are expecting a SON, our first child.
We uploaded the video that my best friend Jason recorded with his Iphone. You can see it by clicking the link below... at first, we were cutting it together but when the knife came out there was a little BLUE pudding on it, I thought maybe it would blow the surprise to the people on our side of the table... But, just as that happened, my father-in-law stated "I see pink icing!!" LOL I don't know what he thought he saw, so everyone gasped, and then out came BLUE cake and everyone screamed  it was such a joy-filled moment!

Congrats!! So sweet. I love this gender reveal trend. We're pregnant with our first too and we are having a   It was kind of a letdown when the sono tech told us when it was this huge deal for us. Already thinking of doing something similar with a cake if we are lucky enough for #2.

Yes, Vinny and I knew - we found out that morning at 10am during the sonogram. Then, we called the bakery and told them the coloring for the inside should be BLUE!
It was SO much fun to have everyone come over and they were just busting to know what the baby was... and the anticipation just kept building!
