We got a b-day invite to a bounce house place
In NJ....now the question is ...do i sign the waiver that if my dd gets hurt they are not responsible? Its a 7 yr old boys b-day party and I am a bit nervous bc dd is 16 months and I KNOW she is going to want to play BUT she cant be mingling in with 7+ yr old boys who are going to be flying off the walls on these bounce thing. Mind you, ive never been to these places before so I dont know what to expect. What do I respond? and they want the waiver in advance or she doesnt go. This place is in Jersey so I am not familiar with it as well.

I would find out from the person who is having the party if they have a separate area for babies. If not, I would not go. I wouldn't want my DD in there with a bunch of 7 year olds

If you bring her and know that she will want to play on the bouncers, then yes you have to sign it, othrewise they wont allow her on anything.
As long as you are with her while she is on the boucers, she will be fine
ETA: I have been to a few and the older kids are usually on the "bigger" bouncers.

I would sign the waiver so you have the option to take her in the bounces if you want to. I agree you want to be careful with a bunch of 7 year old boys, you don't want her to get hurt. But they usually have multiple bounces, so maybe they can designate one for the younger kids.
If you have the waiver, does it list a website or at least a phone number for the place? You may get some answers if you call them- see if they have a designated area for toddlers.
Oh, and some places will let adults go on the bounces with their babies- if that is the case it'll be easier for you to make sure she doesn't get stepped on.

I definitely DO NOT want to bounce around in those bounce houses with 7 yr old boys BUT you are right, if they have smaller houses that only are designated for little one, I wont have a problem. i will call in a few minutes to see if that is the case. If not, I dont think I am gonna sign it and I guess we will either sit on the sidlines or not go.
