WE had a lock down today and it was not a drill...
Happened at the end of the day. It was for real. Apparently someone was in the school with a weapon It was really frightening. I felt awful for my kids
Tomorrow....I definintely need to talk about school violence...What a world we live in what a world

Definitely a different world than the one we grew up in - so scary!!
I'm actually really surprised that we didn't have a lock down drill today - with what happened in VA and tomorrow being the anniversary of Columbine.

I am in NYC...I have no clue about the details. I am thinking it was a student but I have no idea
ETA...I teach 3rd grade...some of my kids were hysterical!

We had a threat/rumor for tomorrow. Many students are not coming to school in the whole district.
