As many know I am in L&D being monitored for an infection. Well yesterday I started contracting from morning 3-4 minutes apart consistently. My doc was constantly checking in just in case baby HR or mine went up again. This went on from 8am-5pm with them trying to give me IV fluids and meds they had to access the port after getting all clear from the inspection specialist since the one IV line the anesthesiologist was lucky to get in on Monday infiltrated and had to be taken out. I still have not received TPN so its been almost 5 days baby and I havent received our lipids and nutrition so I am hoping they give all clear today as I would hate for her to show signs of losing weight. Dr. Klein ordered two rounds of steroid shots for baby lungs-The shot is uncomfortable and burns. He said if he can get me to 34 weeks he will ge happy. Same story with my OBGYN, he wants 35.5 but if he can get 34 weeks he will take it but if I go past its still on for the scheduled C Section at 35.5. Everyone is rooting for us. Some wanted yesterday to be the day at 32weeks so I can get care. I am retaining fluid-went from 146 to 156 in a little over a week and having shortness of breath. Others are for 34wks so its a day by day I guess.
i am so sorry that you are going through this... sounds like pre-term labor has been halted for now but that the situation is still precarious. keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as always
oh, and by the way, i hear you about the steroid injections. i had them last week too and almost hit the ceiling with the first one
continued prayers for you and your baby. I know you will have lots of stories for your daughter in the future.
I think of you and your fight often and am glad you are almost there. hoping you can get to the point that your Dr's are pulling for. You are so strong and courageous

I have no idea how you keep your sense of humor through this. I'm glad the contractions have subsided. Every day you make it through is another miracle for the baby!!!
