We have a new addition - Edited with pic
Well back in october we lost one of our dogs. My mom was DEVISTATED. He was definatelf the best dog ever. A poodle/westie mix. Well while i lived at home i worked at a pet store for years and i came hone with a sheltie and then a few years later someone had left a pomeranian in the mall. A security guard found her and i took her home. My dad would not let me take my sheltie when i moved out, he got too attached. So my mom says to me the other day, I just dont fell the "connection" with cinny and butter cup like i did with roscoe. She feels like they are my dads sogs. THey adore my fater. So yesterday my father and i went shopping for my mom and we just happened to stop at a pet store in sayville and my dad bought a little female Westie for my mom. I pick her up today and we are going to surprise my mom with her Tomorrow morning. And she was born on the day Roscoe passed away, so my dad said it was meant to be. I can't wait to see her face. She will be so excited to have a "dog of her own". I will post pics as soon as i can. 
We just picked her up. She is a little mush. I can't wait for my mom to see her tomorrow. She is going to love her. She does not have a name yet, we're gonna let my mom do that. Image Attachment(s):

I have 3 pet store dogs and not one of them has any issues. I managed a pet store for 7 years. I have my shelter dogs but i don't see anythign wrong with a "pet store" dog. They need homes just as much as any other animal regardless of where it is from. As long as she makes my mom happy i really do not care where she came from

ITA! As long as your mom is happy and she gets a good home!

Give me a break - This dog is a thoughtful GIFT for her Mom and she is very excited about giving it to her -
No need to turn it into a PETA issue or tell her that the dog is going to be sick !!
She is precious !! - I had a Westie growing up and she was the BEST BEST dog ever. - (and GASP - my parents bought her from a pet store)
I hope she LOVES her !!!

well i don't know about a PETA issue--but i can see why ppl have issues with pet stores.
but i would be more concerned with getting her a dog, considering she didn't have a real "connection" with the other one before....for fear that she won't connect to this one.

Thank you! And OMG did she love her! First there were a few tears and then my mom picked her up and the pup just started kissing her and she follows her everywhere. She is just the biggest mush. We went through a few names, molly, pearl (both my grandmas names), Noel, and wound up with Ginger. My mom was so excited. She felt the connection right away.

p.s. i understand people feel very strongly about adopting rather than buying from a pet store... we get it... but why does every post about a dog store puppy have to get turned into a rant about where they came from? it isn't what the post was about. no need to hijack. move on.
eta- both of my dogs are from pet stores and other than a little kennel cough starting out, they are perfectly fine
