We have to shop at a different supermarket now...
D to the H and I were at our local Waldbaum's last night (it's our "thing" on Wednesdays every other week) and while I was placing the items on the conveyer belt, I was approached by an older man.
The older man (let's say late 40s) approached me with a box of Ritz Crackers in his hands, and said "mind if I cut in front of you? I just have this box of crackers."
Mind you, we have an ENTIRE cart filled up to the brim, and there are seven other people behind us. 80% of our items were on the belt, and the cashier already rang up the first four items.
So, I turn to the man and say "I'm sorry the cashier already started ringing it up, and there are four express lanes right there {as I point to the lanes three down} and there are a few people behind me."
He says {sarcastically} "You are SOOOOOOO nice" and starts walking away - but not to the express lane, but to the food asile (maybe to return the box?)
The next thing I know, my hubby yells "W T F did you just call my wife?" I turn...and see Enrique launching an OK magazine in th direction of the man.
Turns out the man called me an "efffffing {female dog}" and hubby was defending me. Fortunately, there were firefighters (friends of ours) there that held hubby back from smashing the man's face into the canned goods, and the argument died down.
I'm so mortally embarrassed...my husband read's OK magazine....we have to shop at another supermarket.

I am sorry you were embarrassed but no one should get away with talking to you like that!!! If I was in your situation, it would be my DH that was mortified and ME screaming after that excuse for a man!
