Re: We just booked Hawaii.......
We went to those islands too, I loved all the hotels we stayed in.
Oahu - Outrigger on Waikki Beach; Must do Pearl Harbor. We also did a submarine excursion and a sunset dinner cruise which were ok. We were only there for 3 days
Kauai - Marriott Beach Resort (Beautiful pool); We rented a car and just drove around the island and saw some BEAUTIFUL sites. Grab a map and just drive up the coast. We also stayed here for 3 days. A lot of people do a helicopter excursion on this island - I was too chicken!
Maui - Hyatt (Amazing hotel) Also rented a car here. Gotta do Road to Hana. Snorkel or Scuba dive at Molokini Crater. Go down to Front St, lots of shops and restaurants there. Also if you have a chance, see the Warren and Annabelle's show (on front st). It's a magic show and the guy is a comedian - hysterical!!!

Hope this all helps! You are going to have a great time!!

Re: We just booked Hawaii.......
omgomgomg holy great airfare!!!
have a wonderful time - our HM was to the SAME islands!!
it was A M A Z I N G !
oahu: *DEFINITELY* the hilton hawaiian village - it has the most beach out of all the other hotels, it is like a mini city in itself and if you can choose which "tower" your room is in: the a'lli tower (which is hawaiian for royalty or something) but it is the only tower with it's own private pool! the other pools are gorgeous and there are tons of shops right on site!!!
kauai: omg the Grand Hyatt was GORGEOUS - absolutely took our breath away. we wished we'd stayed longer on this island for the hotel itself - definitely eat at the poipu beach broiler which is right down the road from the hotel - ask the concierge for directions! great food!! also you must eat at dondero's (an italian place IN the hotel) - it was fantastic - have the baby lambchops!!!!! the pools are great, the slides were so much fun - the pools all connect and it's like you float from one to the next and there is a huge salt-water lagoon - great place!
maui: our hotel in maui was fantastic - they have so many pools and it is right ON wailea beach which was voted best top five beaches in the world - it is SPECTACULAR! the hotel itself knock you over - the LOBBY is like amazing - the grand wailea is the name. also, next door was the fairmont kea lani which is supposed to have rooms with private pools - that was really cool but we had to go with the grand wailea b/c of the water elevator! only one like it in the world!!! it will take you up (in the water) so you don't have to get out to go from pool to pool - they have over ten pools that all connect with slides, rapids, lazy rivers, etc -- it is amazing and then they have a separate adults only pool and the beach - well, it is beyond words. we cannot wait to go back - can't wait!!!!!!
excursions you must do: catamaran cruise in oahu to snorkel and see sea turtles horseback riding on the beach in kauai zip lining in either kauai or maui - both are fantastic avoid the ATV tour - scary and inexperienced operators a waterfall hike in maui - a MUST
hope that helps! HAVE FUN!
SOME PICS!!! (there are some of san diego in there too - that was our first stop before hawaii)...

Re: We just booked Hawaii.......
that is a great price for airfaire !
We stayed at the Westin in Maui -- very nice and comfy beds...great pool too
i've never been to Kaui though
I would def rent a car on Ohau and drive the perimeter of the island...go to dole's plantation, the maze, the north shore, and kailua which has beautiful quiet beaches -- unlike waikiki which is busier -- driving the whole island and stopping maybe be abotu 4hrs but so worth it
oh and don't forget Diamonhead and Pearl Harbor too
have fun!! I loved it there
