We put in an offer!!! Updated 1/6/07...we were out bid!!
keep your fingers crossed!!!!! We offered lower than asking but willing to go higher!!

After going back and forth with price, we put in our best and final offer, but someone else offered full asking price!!! The sellers agent said she wanted to use our offer as a back up...just in case. I mean I thought it was a buyers market??? Whatever!!! Oh well...onward!!!!

when should we expect to hear back???? Really stressed out after doing the numbers! I guess it's normal for most of your monthly salary to go towards the house right??? Tell me it will be okay....

We heard back on the first offer we made within 24 hours. The counter offer and accepted offer were within one day. Good Luck!! I know it is a stressful time just waiting, but it is well worth it! :D

I'm so sorry - but you still might have a chance. The first house we put an offer on was rejected. A month later they called us bc the other buyers backed out. We wound up not buying it anyway, but there is still a chance for you.

They still want our offering in writing "just in case". So upsetting I really feel like we should have bid higher. We were actually up to $25,000 less than asking...it was not enough. Whoever tells you it's a buyers market, its not. The sellers still have the advantage.

Hey Jamie just saw this...I really believe that if this is meant to be your home, somehow the other deal will fall through and it'll be yours...if not, I suppose it was never meant to be yours to begin with 
Anyways, don't give up, you will both find your dream home I'm sure of it

I so know how you feel. Sellers accepted our offer on a house we really loved last week. Then I called to set up engineers inspection, and they backed out because there was another offer. We came up in price, but they still took the other offer because it was from people who rent, so they weren't worried about their deal falling through. Whereas, we still have to get through closing on our own house. It was a major disappointment, but everything WILL work out!
