We want to take a vacay in February, any suggestions?
We were supposed to go to Disney, but with me being pregnant now, I don't want ot go there. (I was totally in it for the rides!) Then we thought we might fly out to LA to visit a friend, but I am not sure I want to fly for that long while preggo. I serious issues with flying and only made it to and from my honeymoon on major meds.
So my question is, without going to Montauk or New England or Upstate (limiting, sorry!), does anyone know any good spots to get away to in February? I'll fly, it just has to be a short flight. Any suggestions would help! Thanks!

One pregnant friend is going to Dominican Republic. Another swears by Amelia Island.
Do you prefer to stay in the US?

A cruise is a nice relaxing idea - you can leave from florida and can get some great rates - check out the caribbean princess - has a lot to do and has four pools (one with a giant movie screen that shows movies all day and sets it up at night like a drive in).
Amelia island is also a good choice - BUT florida can be iffy this time of year. Which is why I recommended the cruise as you would get warmer weather and you can either have a very relaxing week or more activities depending on how you feel.
One caveat - I don't know how far along you are but cruises do say that the won't take someone past a certain date.
best price cruises They have some of the best prices for cruises if you are interested in checking some out.

I definitely sugguest a cruise but you will have to fly to Flordia. Cruises are great and very relaxing.

Puerto Rico? Dominican Republic? Whats funny is that I am looking to plan a short plane ride trip in Feb and those are my top two.

Actually, I just read through this and someone mentioned Key West. I wanted to go on our honeymoon there, maybe now would be the perfect time to go there!
JT is going to be disappointed, he REALLY wants to go to LA, but I just can't handle that long of a flight, and I was more looking forward to a vacation just the two of us rather than spending a week hanging around one of our friends.

We went to the keys, mainly to go Marlin fishing. It was really nice, but not much of a beach scene. It is really great fishing though. That is why I am going to Miami, I want to fish, but also want beach as well.

I've been to Key West before and I love it there. It's very much our style. JT's not a beach person, so it's fine that it's not much of a beach place. I'll have to look into some of the other suggestions, though because I think he's going to be super po-ed when I tell him I'm not going to LA!

I would second Savannah, GA. I thought it was a beautiful city and you can drive to the beach if you want that. It seems like there is a lot to do. I only went on an overnight trip, but would love to go back and see more.

Yeah I love the keys, but the group I am going with now are big beach people, so we decided Miami. Do you guys golf? I have been dying to improve my game and go on a big golf trip.

ohhhhh I love Savannah. I did not spend the night though and always wanted to. My old roommate went and took a covered carriage ride and stayed at a great B&B. We unfortunately had already booked a place in TN, or I would have stayed in Savannah.
