Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

I have to agree on the bedding at BRU. I am actually really glad (although I was sad at the time) that noone bought me the bedding that I registered for at BRU because it certainly wasn't anywhere near as nice as the bedding we got after the fact from Pottery Barn Kids.

I hope you end up finding some stuff that you like!

I agree that there isn't much nice stuff to choose from. We get a BumbleRide because we didn't like any of the travel systems or strollers. They just didn't seem worth the money, JMHO. And, I bought the bedding from www.babysupermall.com. They have MUCH more to choose from.

Good luck!Chat Icon

We didn't have much luck at BRU either. Try Buy Buy Baby...they have a lot more inventory and their employees seem to have a lot more knowledge than BRU's

Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

I know how you feel , so yesterday I went to buy buy baby and was EXTREMEMLY disappointed with them. Waste of a trip. Messay and disorganized and they had 2 out of 75 strollers that were travel systems that were very ugly. Not sure what to do now.

Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

Also what BRU did you go to?

I don't necessarily like BBB better. I think BBB has a better set up as far as bedding choices, cribs, gliders, etc. They have more high end choices too in that department.

I still think that for the everday stuff BRU is better, but some locations are better then others.

I went to both BBB and BRU in Paramus, NJ and found they had the biggest/best selection compared to any of the stores I went to in LI or Westchester.

ETA: It was a bit of a drive - but both stores were huge! I registered at BRU b/c there are more locations but like the selection at BBB more (esp for girl bedding.)

Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

I registered at BRU and an online website called www.modernseed.com

I didn't like ANY of the BRU bedding- so my bedding is a dwell baby set from Modern seed- you should check out the online stores.

Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

I agree with all three- I ended up registering at babycenter.com for my bedding, stroller and high chair after reading reviews and checking consumer reports. Free shipping over $50 and no tax to NY shipping to CA where I live so its really a bonus.

I really wanted a jogger so I can work out with the baby. It also has a travel system that is used with the Graco Metropolitan model. I love the baby jogger city model and registered on Babycenter for it.

Re: we went to register at Babies R us tonight and

We were not impressed with BRU at all. We set up a registry on Saturday but I think we might take it down. We scanned two things while we were in the store. We didn't like any of the strollers or car seats and the bedding was terrible.

Another thing to consider there - guests can only ship from the online store, they can't ship from the store. I can foresee that being a problem for us since my shower is in MN.

I agree with checking a different BRU. I found the choices in different stores to be very different.
