WE WERE JUST RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL.
last night on mothers day night of all nights. ds started wheezing very very bad and couldnt breathe. we rushed him to the urgery center in schienders lij. He was admitted on the spot. his oxygen levels were only in the 80's, he also had a crackling in his chest. we were just released an hour ago. my ds is now on neb treatments, singular, zytec, nasoxex and steriods. its all from very bad sesonal allergies. asthma has not been ruled out completely but not diagnosed either. so that was my eventful mothers day. 
ps chest xrays came back completely clear. 
UPDATE: ds is going great. he slept the whole night without coughing. and he even slept thru his 11pm and 3am neb treatments. so far so good. He has a follow up with his pediatrician on friday and make sure he is ok and can come off his steriods and neb treatments. Thank you everyone so much for your fms!!! i means alot to me. thank you.

Bella has extremely bad allergies and is on Singulair and a nasal steroid....it does help...
My ped said he is VERY reluctant to make the allergy diagnosis on children under 3 BUT the rise in the past two years has been ridiculous. EVEN with the drugs, she still has the recurring cough. but as her lungs remain clear, we are at least happy about that...

I'm sorry to hear you had a rough Mother's Day, but I am glad to hear DC is doing better today. God, this sounds scary.

Glad your home now. We had a similar incident and DS has been on Pulmicort in the nebulizer for the past 4 motnhs now, with the thought being asmtha. It's not fun, but we haven't had another incident (we'd had breathing issues before the hospital) since he's been on the steroids. Hope he gets betetr soon!
