Wedding Album
Ok ladies, sorry to bring my anxst over from LIweddings, but I can not freaking decide what type of wedding album to get. Since you ladies are already married, I figured you can help me out. My package has a 10 x 10 flush album with 50 pics, but I have the option of upping to a magazine style with 100 pics. I'm sooo confused. I like both styles for different reasons.

Re: Wedding Album
I would go with the one that has 50 pics. As a married woman who looked at her album constantly when I first got it, I barely pick it up to dust it now.

Re: Wedding Album
I am usually not a traditional person, but I prefer a traditional wedding album. I just think they have a nostalgic feeling.....
But I think it comes down to personal preference....
If you got a DVD with images you can make a magazine style on shutterfly yourself....

Re: Wedding Album
I would go for the magazine (or soho) style. that's what we have and I really love it!!! although I agree w/mrs diamondgirl, we don't look at it that often anymore.

Re: Wedding Album
Im sorry I can't help you out. I will tell you my Photographer screwed me by talking me into the best most expensive album "so I can do whatever I want to the album the pictures get set onto the page and I could make them any size and put several pictures on a page" I THINK It was called a reversable.
We did I LOVED the way it looked When saw the albums they had there.
WELL when picked out our pic picked out what pages we wanted them to go on picked the sizes did the ALBUM (and loved the way it looked) They told us the price was 900.00? "but we paid for this album"
"oh yes you paid for this album BUT this size pictue cost 195.00 and this page has 3 pictures on it that is 85.00 "
We had sat there for HOURS doing the album. And when it came in we couldn't even pick it up right away becuase we didn't have the 900.00. When we got it the screwed up one of the pics and I didn't even want to get into it with them so I left it!
Just something to think about, Might want to ask if they have these kinds of charges!

Re: Wedding Album
We look at it once a year on our anniversary. And although I wanted to upgrade at the time, I'm glad DH talked me out of it.
Since we got all of our proofs, I made my own "large" album of over 200 of my favorites and stuck with the traditional album from the photographer.

Re: Wedding Album
Although I love the look of the magazine style, I have a more traditional album, although not the flush one. Mine has a black leather cover with a photo of us. The pages have black borders around the photos. My feeling is that years from now, the magazine, or Soho style may look like something that was once trendy, so I prefered to have something traditional. However, I felt that the black made it a little more modern than the traditional white album.

How did you go about making your own album?

I got this Lenox photo album at my shower and it holds 160 photos, so I made my own album from the proofs.

Re: Wedding Album
It's funny, I noticed that a lot of people who get magazine style say they love it, whereas people who didn't say it's because they prefer traditional. Hmm

Not really, they got the style album they prefer.
We have a traditional album because that is all that was available when we booked our photographer.
I love the look of the magazine/soho style books. But I think it's something you can do yourself (to an extent) with photoshop and online processing companies.
It really just comes down to what you and your DH want or like.

Re: Wedding Album
We got a "traditional" album with our pictures embedded on the page. Most of our pages have only 1 picture on it w/the exception of 5 pages! I just happen to like it better this way as there is not too much going on & it still tells a story!
