wedding at winery
we have a wedding to attend and i planned on wearing heals of course. i was just informed that its going to be outdoors at the winery (meaning on grass). heals + grass = no fun
My only other shoe option are leather type flip flops - not fancy at all but not as casual as beach flip flops. should i just wear those to be safe? or just bring them? or suffer in heals?
i really dont want to go out to buy new shoes for this

Re: wedding at winery
is the entire thing outdoors or just the ceremony?
we just went to one that was supposed to have an outdoor ceremony/indoor reception, but due to rain everything was indoors

Re: wedding at winery
bring both. Grass wear the sandals and the hells for inside or on the dance floor.

the entire wedding is *supposed* to be outside...i guess it depends on weather
Ill bring both (was trying to avoid carrying a large bag around!)

Bring both.
I went to a wedding in July, outdoors. At a winery.
Worst wedding I ever went to. It was SO hot all we cared about was getting out of the sun. The heat made it miserable. Bring sunscreen to be safe. My husband is bald on top and got a nasty sunburn. The winery was beautiful.

Unless it's raining before the wedding and you're pretty sure it's going to be inside, wear your flip flops and call it a day.
Carrying around a large bag at a wedding is such a pain in the butt.

Re: wedding at winery
You can also just leave your shoes in the car and run out and change them as necessary. It beats bringing a big bag. I've been to winery weddings and have seen guests wear flats, heels and flip flops.

wedding at winery
I went to an outdoor wedding where the bride put out a flip flop basket for all the women who were in heels. I have to be honest tho, I HATED dancing in flip flops. I felt like such a nerd. I would suggest wearing heels and bringing your flip flops. Like PP said, you can always just leave them in the car and change if you need to.

Re: wedding at winery
You could get a pair of Soul Mates. They work great as long as you dont have a really thick heel.
Soul Mates
FYI...they also sell them on ebay

Re: wedding at winery
Def bring both because I was in a wedding party 3 weeks ago and only wedding pictures were outside. It was horrible! We were all sinking in the grass, and that was just for an hour or so. If the whole thing is outside, I would opt for the flip flops or maybe go get a wedge shoe.
